Stress & Anxiety
Life is a balancing act, and anxiety and stress often play a role. They're like our personal alarms—trying to keep us safe, prepared, and alert. But when anxiety gets too loud, it doesn’t just whisper worries—it starts to control the show. What begins as caution can grow into constant overthinking, physical symptoms, avoidance, and a deep feeling that something is always about to go wrong.
Here’s a Peek Into the Kind of Situations Where I’ve Been Helpful:
🌀
Picture a middle schooler who’s constantly worried—about grades, friendships, their health, their future… even what their teacher might think if they raise their hand too much. Their mind doesn’t have an “off” switch, and the mental load is exhausting.
😳
Or the high schooler who dreads speaking in class, avoids eye contact, and over-prepares for even the smallest social interactions. They want to make friends—but fear of embarrassment, judgment, or “messing up” keeps them stuck in the background.
💓
Then there’s the teen who suddenly gets hit with a racing heart, chest tightness, and dizziness out of nowhere—followed by the terrifying thought that something is seriously wrong. Panic attacks feel like a trap, and now they’re afraid to go anywhere in case it happens again.
👋
And the child who clings at drop-off, cries when their caregiver leaves the room, or gets a stomachache every Monday morning before school. They know deep down that their grown-up will come back, but the fear still feels real—and overwhelming.
